The
House of Compassion
Li lives in China.
He was born with only one ear. As a child, he was continually teased. Eventually
it forced him to drop out of school.
But because of his deformity, Li always has been sensitive to others. Others
mocked him, but his wife and family supported him. Through the years, Li has
brought home almost a thousand beggars.
Li named his house “The House of Compassion.” He tries to provide a normal life
for those living on the street. Oh, Li’s given away so much of his own
resources, but Li still pursues his dream. He even hopes to build a comfortable
shelter for the homeless. You see, mercy counts the cost, but still responds
when there’s a need.
Now you go. Respond to the prompting in your heart; show mercy to someone today.
