Helping the World
“What am I doing
to help the world?” Two decades ago Irma asked herself that question. And she
didn’t like the answer. So Irma gave notice at her high-paying job. She spent
the next 20 years doing charity work in Africa and South America.
Well Irma’s back in the business world now. She operates her own travel company.
She escorts upscale tourists to some of the exotic places where she’s lived. As
they pass through poor villages, Irma tells her wealthy customers about
opportunities to help — a new water well here, a roof for a school there, or
maybe a new room for a village clinic. Now she’s doing something to help the
world!
